MAC Cosmetics Spring/Summer 2012 Preview

Gareth Pugh White Taped on Eyeliner

Fashion week…great and lovely event, but as I always say.. I am NOT ready to see this stuff yet. The wacky and creative looks for next year might shock you (As one of the new MAC collections did!) because of the very liberal use of color.. lots of colors… everywhere. Check it out and please leave a comment to let me know what you think!

Fashion Week in Paris :

GARETH PUGH
“Electricity, Lightening…illusions of ‘is it a liner, or not?’ Models look like new born babies.” – Alex Box

Gareth Pugh White Cyber

Eyes:
Clear piece of plastic is added to the brow using double-sided tape, positioned to appear as floating eye liner.

Lips:
Lip Conditioner SPF 15
– applied over lips to hydrate and perfect.

Face:

Studio Moisture Fix SPF 15 – hydrates and prepares skin

Face and Body Foundation or Studio Sculpt SPF 15 Foundation – blended over skin to even skintone, avoiding the under eye area Pros-Aide adhesive is used to flatten and secure brows to skin.

Krista Says: I think I used to cut out fake eyebrows and lips and tape them to my face in pre-school. Interesting idea, but not something I’d wear on a normal day. I will have to say that the eyeliner really does go awesome with that cyber dress!

Dsquared2 RockFashion Week in Milan:

Krista Says: Hmm.. for trying to embrace the spirit of the 90’s, namely Christy Turlington, I think the makeup needs to be a bit more defined. The makeup for this show was very soft, in my opinion… NOT reminiscent of the 90s! I do like the blush shade and the eyeshadow shade for this look, but I would go a little heavier on the lips.

Krista Says: I notice the 90s trend with the copper eyeshadow blended up to the brow (no highlight)… and I do recall a short-lived trend with the muted lips.. but did I think it was pretty back then? Not really. Then again, I was still a teenager.

I love the lip shade though..
