The Fall trend of the black lips and eyes has become a part of Chanel’s new launch : Noirs Obscurs – Ultra-modern makeup shades which are edgy, yet elegant iterations of the colour black.
I am LOVING the Quatuor Boutons De Chanel eyeshadow quad ($60) !!! The colors are very rich and sultry and unfortunately I may have caught this collection too late (or too early) since I can’t find any information on this quad or where to get it. Not even the Official Chanel website has info on it.. WTF? So help me out, peeps. If you find it, create a comment below and post a link. Thanks!

Gimme that quad, now!! I think only really hot people with good lighting can get away with the whole black lipstick look and be considered “classy”. The three new limited edition lip colors ($30) are: Maniac, Hysteria and Obscure. All dark and rick hues. The new gloss, Furious, is quite pretty and is part of the Aqualumiere gloss collection ($27); which means it is really lightweight and sheer with high shine.
Let me know what you think of this collection! It’s pretty daring!

As always, I am constantly looking for new products to replace my old ones. I am also on a search for a new mascara to replace my Maybelline Lash Stylist, which has been discontinued! So anyway, here are just a few new product launches that I am going to try, and if you’ve already tried them, leave your thoughts here!
Introducing Bare Escentuals Flawless Definition Mascara, which will launch on August 1st. I am a huge fan of comb wand mascara, so I want to give this a try. The downside is that it’s $18, and I only spent $7 on Lash Stylist.
I am so relieved that the burgundy / plum look is back because it’s my favorite! The romantic look is back, but with an edge! The Prescriptives All Skins Mineral Foundation with SPF 10 sounds like something I want. I am looking for something that is good for my skin yet lasts through the day. This product claims it will last 16 hours and has an exclusive R.E.C. complex (Radiance Emitting Crystals – a unique combination of Amethyst, Rose Quartz and Calcite), which sounds scientific and amazing. I am currently using Fresh Umbrian Clay Foundation and since my skin is clearing up, I need something more light weight and natural-looking.

After my lovely three week illness last month with pnemonia, I’ve been sorta not the same. I have a hard time sleeping, eating and just functioning in general. My schedule is off and I am slowly but surely getting that back on track. The good news is, I am getting emails from various department stores with news on the fall collections. I will post them when I get a chance, possibly as soon as tomorrow.
I do have news on a new Maybelline mascara that I saw at Target.. do not even tell me that they replaced Lash Stylist with this crap.. but it’s a vibrating mascara. Yes.. you read that right. I freaking vibrating mascara. WHY?? What is the purpose? Honestly, I can think of other things you could do with a vibrating mascara, and it has nothing to do with lashes. Was that the marketing ploy to get women to buy this joke? If anyone has tried it and says that it did wonders to your lashes, I want to hear your story because I am like still in shock.
Anyway, I’ve been broke all summer so far, so I haven’t purchased anything post-worthy. You haven’t missed out on much except my bad ass makeup job that I did for the Marilyn Manson show. Will post more later during the week.
