Chantecaille is one of those high-end cosmetics brands that I keep on my list as a favorite “splurge” brand, and they continue to maintain very high-quality products, which is another reason why I praise them. Chantecaille Luminous Eye Liner

I am trying to spread the word around about one of my favorite high-end brands, Chantecaille. I really love the classy packaging, and the products deliver as much elegance and quality as you would expect from just looking at what they offer. I only have the privilege to own two products (Future Skin Foundation & Foundation Stick Review) but I have played around at the counter and have tried several samples of skincare. I am impressed!

In the pic above, you see the new Chantecaille Luminous Eye Liner collection ($22 each), made from crushed pearls, this eyeliner is truly a gift! Here is what Chantecaille has to say: The first liquid eye liner by Chantecaille, defines the eyes with ease and precision in a wash of dramatic iridescent color. Sugar derivatives enhanced with a filming polymer allow for softness and comfort in application, and a striking, even finish upon the eye. Its unique formulation containing a high percentage of pearls and pigment provides a result unlike any other. Strong, yet subtle, shimmering and brilliant long-lasting result.

Chantecaille Les Pétales - Voile de Rose Poudre Délicate

This gorgeous face powder, Les Pétales – Voile de Rose Poudre Délicate ($36 for .09 oz), is stunning!! I have no words for how pretty this is, but Chantecaille does: Luxurious and velvety smooth, this innovative, super-lightweight formula glides on effortlessly to create a smooth, long-adhering invisible finish. Soft and unnoticeable, this powder embossed with the Chantecaille Rose gives an unprecedented natural and radiant look. Perfect for an evening touch up. My Facial Appointment Discoveries

On September 17, 2009, in Cosmetics, Skin Care, by Krista Dior

So I had an amazing facial today at a traveling spa RV that goes to corporate companies on a weekly basis. I had questions in my head that I hoped could be answered.. and they were!

First, I brought up the question about large pores. It seems like the reason why my skin is secreting oil (and why the large pores?) is because I am over working my skin with too many scrubs and harsh products. The aesthetician told me that Proactiv is too harsh for me to use daily, so I should cut down to a few times per week. Since I had already sort of been doing that and alternating with my gel cleansers, I asked her what other things I could do to cut the shine down off of my face. I told her I was using mousse mineral makeup and the mineral powder by Revlon and that Bare Minerals really broke me out bad when I had used it a long time ago. She suggested that I use Jane Iredale cosmetics if I want to go back into using mineral products.. but if you have read my blogs, you would know that I already own the liquid and the powder Jane Iredale collections. I wasn’t really impressed with the coverage and staying power, and the texture. Soo what to do? I’ve been breaking out along my jawline since I’ve been using the new Revlon mineral cosmetics, and I am totally pissed! Ughh.

So, I am going to start with my gentle scrubs only once per week or less, and sticking with my gel cleanser on most days, using Proactiv maybe twice per week. The lady also told me not to steam my face often either.. which I don’t anyway. She says the steam opens the pores, but allows the oils to come pouring out. She only used the steam to help the facial products penetrate my skin while she was working on me. I purchased a very light, oil-free moisturizer that I believe is her own brand, and I really like it so far. I told her that I am pretty sensitive to anything with Titanium Dioxide (SPF 15 and up) and that could be why I am breaking out from the Revlon Mousse Foundation, it’s SPF 20.

Sooo.. I am going to try one more foundation before I break the bank. I’ve been talking about this for years and haven’t had the balls to buy it. Chantecaille foundation is something I’ve wanted to try for so long, I should just freaking buy it already. Check out the line of foundation here: http://www.chantecaille.com/makeup.cfm Future Skin is a oil-free gel foundation containing seaweed.. $68 for 1 oz. Yeah, that is a lot of money, but my skin is begging for something good.

Doing these monthly facials might be beneficial to me, especially since I did an amazing seaweed mask that left my face feeling like I was 8 years old.

Chantecaille Spring 2009 – Whales!!

On April 3, 2009, in Cosmetics, by Krista Dior

Chantecaille Spring 2009 Collection
I have always coveted Chantecaille makeup. It’s for the rich and famous.. well, not really, but $70 bucks for a foundation is a bit steep, no? I hear it is quite lovely with its 60% charged water and seaweed base. So, guess what.. I plan on purchasing the Future Skin Foundation, which better meet my high expectations or I will scream. I have a $100 Amazon.com gift card from work and I plan on using it wisely and getting stuff off my “wish I was rich” list.

Chantecaille’s Spring 2009 collection features adorable whale eyeshadow and highlighter compacts, Limited-Edition La Baleine Blanche Face, and Limited-Edition La Baleine Bleue Eyes $98 each at Neiman Marcus.

For Face:

Blended together, this fine and creamy formula produces a fresh and natural glow—a luminous and slightly matte effect that is both healthy and age-defying.

For Eyes:

Neiman Marcus says: The symbol of the Blue Whale and her calf are interpreted here in a feminine trio of the seasons most enduring and elegant neutrals.

Marine tones—the fashion-forward blues of spring—make a statement in sheer pale blue and deep blue/gray accents.

An iridescent champagne base completes this palette that is straight from the spring runways.
