I’m usually the chick with the greasy, nasty skin during summer, while all of my friends have superbly matte skin with no pores… or freckles! Ok, and most of my friends also don’t burn as bad as I do either.. and the list goes on! Instead of complaining this summer, I went on a hunt for some fabulous sunblocking, anti-aging, mattifying products and I found the gold mine. (Finally!)
What Sephora Says: A sheer lotion that keeps shine at bay while providing UVA/UVB protection. This oil- and fragrance-free balancing complex stops shine and helps regulate oil levels while guarding against harmful UVA/UVB rays. It absorbs instantly and works at the cellular level to eliminate excess oil and visibly reduce pore size. A time-release system leaves skin with a flawlessly matte finish that lasts all day. With regular use skin becomes less oily and more balanced.
What it is formulated WITHOUT: Sulfates, Synthetic Fragrances, Synthetic Dyes, Petrochemicals, Phthalates, GMOs
What I say: Hooray for this mattifying sunblock! Keeps my foundation looking fresh and matte.
What Sephora says:

What I say:
This stuff is just WOW. It’s got Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide (which has been said to control oil secretion and acne flare ups –correct me if this is wrong) along with Vitamin A , B and Willow bark, which is also supposed to help with acne. With all of these awesome ingredients and the great packaging (no mineral mess) I decided to give this a shot, even though I’ve said many times that I pretty much hate mineral powder. Turns out I just hated certain brands with certain types of minerals which were bad for my skin. I plan on having a friend of mine write a guest blog which explains good minerals vs. bad. She’s an expert! I haven’t ran this product past her yet, but so far, it has really controlled my oil ore than any powder I have ever tried. The staff at Sephora was raving about this product as I was walking up to the cash wrap and the reviews on this product are pretty good, except some people don’t know that when you take the lid off that the way to put it back on is to pull the bottom of the product down, put the lid on, and the brush pops back up. DUH. Anyway.. great product so far for a quick SPF fix and mattifying of the skin. It is very sheer, so don’t expect any coverage.
I can’t live without my summer face fixes… do you have any suggestions? Post them in the comment box below!
