Anastasia Products for 2010

I’ve been trolling around the internet lately and ran across a new beauty blog, not even as cute as this one, and they have at least 10k fans on their Facebook page. What is wrong with this picture? Well, umm.. for starters, I thought their Q and A section was pretty generic.. of course the only reason why their traffic is through the roof is because they invested in advertising, something that I do very little of (maybe I should?). There isn’t a “real person” behind the blog, they probably get their content from other blogs, like mine, OR they are given content from a provider. Either way, I am a little irritated. hah!

Anyway.. I’ve been interested in Anastasia products for quite some time and although I am totally in love with my current brow products (MAC Penultimate Universal Brow Marker) I am always in the market for something better or innovative. I’ve been hearing nothing but rave reviews about the Anastasia products (she does celeb brows!) and I noticed a few new products in the line up. Hmm.. I’m REALLY curious now!

Anastasia Lash Lifting Mascara

Anastasia Lash Lifting MascaraNordstrom.com says:

A multi-effect volume mascara—in a single stroke it both thickens and curls lashes. The beauty of glamorous lifted lashes can be yours. This mascara is formulated with the double effects of hard waxes to help build lashes and synthetic polymers to give body and volume. Rich and creamy formula conditions lashes. An elastic veil helps mascara adhere to lashes without clumping.  $22

This sounds new and different to me, I am a sucker for anything that sounds like a scientific breakthrough. I wonder how this mascara differs from those “beauty tubes” mascaras that were once such a huge phenomenon.

Anastasia Cooling Eye Brightener

This sounds amazing! Since this is a Nordstrom Exclusive product, we can only try this out at the store iteself!

Anastasia Highlighting Creme Duo

Anastasia Highlight Creme DuoNordstrom says:

A Highlighting Creme Duo like no other. Light-diffusing pigments reveal a beautiful, subtle glow. Featuring our exclusive antioxidant-rich Balkan Botanical™ Infusion, which is known to help soothe and soften the appearance of the skin. The liquid shimmer hydrates without ever looking greasy or chalky and the creme blush has a sheer, warm glow and blends easily for a flawless finish that compliments any skin tone.

Not only is this a color product, but it’s also beneficial for the skin! That is hard to find in a cosmetic product these days.
